Sometimes you work on a project and it’s a project. Sometime you style a project and the music is so special that you pinch yourself at how lucky you are to work with such beautifully talented souls.
Meadowlark for me, are exactly that, and so much more.
As I listened to Postcards in full for the first time today, I fell in love with their sound and their stories as if I had no idea who they were. I think that’s often the best thing about music, and with the best songwriters, when you have no idea how they got to that story, and it transports you to moments past, and moments that may never exist in your life, but in that moment, listening to that track, and that set of lyrics, you see a whole short film play out in front of you, and imagine you’re the lead role.
I don’t really want to give you a review of this album other than to say it’s beautiful. Download it, stream it, buy it. And if you want something really special, they have a limited edition vinyl that is out of this world stunning!
Congratulations to my wonderful friends Kate and Dan. You should be crazy proud this amazing body of work. It’s just the beginning…
