I have a confession to make – I did not watch the highly anticipated ERDEM X HM campaign video when it first came out. Considering that Baz Luhrmann was my auteur study for my A-levels, and my favourite director growing up – I couldn’t come to terms with Erdem doing a high street collaboration.

But – as the video popped up on every screen I could look at – without much choice – I squealed upon noticing one of my friends – someone whom I admire so very much in the starring role. Dame Harriet Walter – one of England’s most wonderful actors plays the protagonist in a stunning floral two piece suit. Her role – a ‘Miss Havisham’ type of character who is “a bit mad, but she loves flowers,” described by Luhrmann.

So although we may be living in a time of the ‘influencer’ – if anyone was every going to win me over – it would be Dame Harriet Walter. Well done ERDEM X HM – I’m now a little obsessed with the collection. I’ve always been a little obsessed with Harriet.
