And just like that, a brand new year has arrived! 2019! If you’re reading this not hungover and already ready for bed – good for you. However, it seems most of us had an amazing time celebrating with friends and family last night and the January detox (and good behaviour) has been delayed until further notice.
This is without a doubt going to be the busiest and most exciting year of my life. The big event is that I am getting married! Whilst there’s lots of planning left to be done – we’re focusing on it being a special part of our story… We hope our wedding will be an amazing weekend of celebrations in Italy with those we hold dearest – but we are focused and so happy to be tying the knot and enter the next chapter of our journey together. I can’t quite believe it’s almost a year since William proposed.
Whilst I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions – I do believe in setting intentions. Of those I have many for 2019 but mainly they are to work harder, be kinder, love stronger, protect myself and my space and my mind from any negativity, and to always remember to be grateful.
In addition to all of the styling and branding work I have coming up in the next year, I am delighted to be embarking on a new journey with the Winchester School of Art as part of their new Fashion Styling and Creative Module. The more I’ve learnt as a stylist during my career, the more I want to share the skills and knowledge I have. After giving a guest lecture last November (eek that feels funny to say), I was delighted to be asked back to teach styling and photography workshops that will hopefully see students learn lots and fall in love with the process.
My wonderful fiancé surprised me with weekly horse riding lessons at Coworth Park in Ascot (to coincide with my teaching). Coworth Park is a really special place for us. William has often treated me to romantic horse riding hacks there, but I’ve never had consistent training with their Equestrian team – so I couldn’t be more excited to begin my lessons in a few weeks.
There’s a lot coming up with my clients that is all hush hush for now – but I am so ready for all that is to come for my two thousand and nineteen. And I wish you all an incredible year ahead too!
Ps. These images were shot at Coworth Park.
