Rescue Remedy is something I first used when I was taking my driving test. I had failed the first time, and the instructor said I should have passed but I was letting my nerves get the better of me. My leg was shaking and I couldn’t seem to not be stressed. My cousin, a physiotherapist and an advocate of holistic treatments and therapies took me to Boots and purchased a Rescue Remedy dropper for me. She said it would help for nerves and it really did. I left it in the cabinet in the hallway and would put a few drops on my tongue right before my lessons and made it my new routine.

Fast forward years later and now I’m an International Stylist, Edior, Consultant, (sometimes DJ), Aunt, Daughter, Friend, Girlfriend and all encompassing human being. Sometimes it’s so easy to become overwhelmed and need a time out – but not have time for it. I have weeks where I’m functioning on little to no sleep and stress is almost part of the job when I’m juggling so many things. I’m all about meditation, taking time out to exercise or just to take time out – but truth be told – it’s not always an option. And that’s why Rescue Remedy is one of my go tos for when life gets a bit chaotic.

I love that Rescue Remedy now has so many more products than all those years ago. The pastilles are my favourite – and I love the tin they come in. There are also the droppers, the spray and the lozenges. I carry Rescue Remedy with me everywhere now. Be it to shoots, in my hand luggage flying to film a music video or when I’m prepping for my next red carpet client. And I have to be honest, they don’t last very long as my clients and even my boyfriend have started loving Rescue Remedy too.

I am so lucky to be able to fly all around the world working with amazing people, amazing teams and clients and brands. Sometimes you get booked on a job so last minute and can be overwhelmed before you’ve even said yes, and that’s why in addition to always carrying around my styling kit, my iPhone, a pair of sunglasses (for those tired eyes) my little Gucci bag and pair of Nike trainers along with some red Chanel lipstick – Rescue Remedy is the latest addition to my list of fashion essentials.

Rescue Remedy is available to buy at Boots, in store and online.
