I’ve spent years dying my hair every colour you can imagine. I’ve had it red, pink, purple, blue (which faded to green) and bleached it blonde the whole way through once before Glastonbury. One night everyone kept following me around hospitality and pointing. I later found out why, when two people came over to ask if I was Rita Ora. Lol indeed.
I met hair colourist Jack Howard just over five years ago at an event. We got chatting about balayage and his time at L’Oreal in America. I went to see him for a consultation and came out with the best colour I’d ever had… But then maintenance and time got in the way, and I kind of just ended up doing my hair whenever I could, and definitely not looking after it…
After much ado, and many a hair do, I finally admitted that it was time to start looking after my hair, find my signature style, and I knew that Jack Howard would be the man to do it. He’s the hair colourist for everyone from Clara Paget and Suki Waterhouse to Poppy Delevingne and is based at Paul Edmonds in Knightsbridge when he’s not teaching within the industry.
I knew my hair was in bad condition so, with the bleached blonde still growing out, I let Jack do his thing with simply the direction of “can I have a little blonde in there please”. He recommended the equally amazing Jenny for my cut and blow dry. I told her that I don’t often have time to do my hair in between prepping and shooting, so she suggested a cut that was easy to manage and would look good even if just rough dried to run out the door. Basically, every stylists dream.
I couldn’t be happier with my hair and have had so many compliments. Friends have already booked in to see Jack after seeing my hair – which is proof of his great work.
I love the space at Paul Edmonds. You can order lunch, connect to wifi and catch up on emails in between colour – plus it’s a stones throw away from Harrods for shopping afterwards.
Prices for colour with Jack Howard are based on having a consultation. My cut and colour with Jenny (Director) was £110.00. More details can be found online at PaulEdmonds.com or just give them a call.
